On Saturday– Jacob Blake, Black individual shot by a police officer Kenosha, Michigan–delivered a heartfelt message from his hospital bed. As he talked, he informed us that “it’s a lot more life to live.” He also voiced that we shouldn’t take things for granted.
Blake said, “It’s a lot more life to live out here, man. Your life and not only your life. Your legs–something that you need to move around and move forward in life– can be taken from you,” Blake said.
He also disclosed he had been in pain 24 -hours every day and it hurt to consume.
“It hurts to breathe. It hurts to eat. It hurts to move from side-to-side. Please I’m telling you change y’all lives out there.”
As formerly mentioned, during an attempt to detain Jacob, Rusten Sheskey set up a taser. Once that attempt failed, Vincent Arenas made another effort as he set his taser. That is when the viral video demonstrated Sheskey catching and shooting Jacob 7 days in his spine. The other recognized officer which has been in the scene had been Brittany Meronek.
