Epke Zonderland (NED) wins the gold medal in the men’s gymnastic artistic flat bar in the London 2012 Olympic Games (7 August).
Germany’s Fabian Hambuchen took silver at case with China’s Zou Kai taking bronze.

Artistic gymnastics was released in the very initial Olympic Games at 1896 at Athens, and was present at each variant of this Games since then. At the start, it contained areas that are tough to qualify as “artistic”, like scaling and acrobatics.
