It’s official: Zendaya simply acquired her first Emmy for her work at HBO’s Euphoria.
At that the Emmys 2020, Zendaya won the award for Outstanding Lead Actress at a Drama Series for the portrayal of Rue — a teenager struggling with love, her loved ones, along with drug addiction. At only 24 years old, Zendaya is currently the youngest person ever to win in the group, the LA Times reported.
In a teary acceptance speech, she included HBO, her loved ones, along with also the cast and crew of Euphoria. “This is pretty crazy, I don’t really cry,” she started, clearly feeling some emotions. “To that the extraordinary cast and crew of Euphoria, I’m so blessed to go to work beside you daily and I’m motivated by whatever that you do.”
She lasted, “I know this feels like a really weird time to be celebrating, but I just want to say there is hope in the young people out there. I know that our TV show doesn’t always feel like a great example of that, but there is hope in the young people. And I just want to say to all my peers doing the work in the streets, I see you and I admire you, and I thank you. Whoa, OK, thank you!”
Zendaya formerly talked to Deadline about what she has discovered while acting Rue, and her story is vital. “I believe that that’s what is great about Euphoria is that it makes other men and women feel less alone in their own experiences,” she told Deadline. “It makes them understand they’re not the only person coping with exactly what they are managing.” She added,”A function like that needs you to be much more open and also a whole lot rawer with your own emotions. If you are not, it will not work. I guess I’ve softened a bit. I am more emotionally linked. I have learned more about individuals, compassion, and understanding by enjoying her”
Euphoria additionally won Emmys for Outstanding Contemporary Makeup and also for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics, and Zendaya was generous with her praise for her colleagues. Now, having an Emmy win under her belt, she is becoming praise of her very own. Congrats, Z!
