Heartbreaking: Twitter Reacts To Klay Thompson’s Season-Ending Achilles Injury

An eventful week at the NBA only got even more mindblowing.

First, trade rumors started swirling for a few cornerstone players around the league, then the draft has been last night, but the latest news will alter the dynamics of this 2020-21 NBA season. League insiders have shown that Golden State Warrior Klay Thompson has suffered a ripped Achilles, significance he’s obtained a season-ending harm before the season has begun.

Wednesday nighttime, following the NBA Draft, it was demonstrated that Thompson suffered an injury to his leg when exercising and was instantly taken for on MRI Thursday dawn to ascertain how severe it was.

Warriors general supervisor Bob Myers stated Wednesday nighttime that head trainer Steve Kerr and many members of those Warriors coaching employees were expected to have a trip to Los Angeles to ensure Thompson remains in great spirits.

“It’s one of those deals where you don’t really know until you know,” Myers advised ESPN. “You can be hopeful, you can be concerned. I’m probably all those combined, and until we know more tomorrow, I’ll just hope for good news.”

What makes Thomspon’s injury much more tragic is that he completed rehabilitation for the ACL in his left knee he tore during Game 6 of those 2019 NBA Finals from the Toronto Raptors. The 2019-20 year was put on hold amid the start of this coronavirus, and because it did not start until October, it gave Thompson more time to receive up his strength until the 2020-21 campaign, which he will sadly miss today.

The only potential silver lining is the Warriors managed to nab one of the very talented rookies from the draft in James Wiseman, along with the lack of Thompson next year may even set them in a fantastic draft position following year.

However, NBA Twitter is catching wind of Thompson afflicted by season-ending accidents, and they are offering their very best wishes for him and ensuring no one forgets just how dominating he’s about the hardwood.
