Money is piling on LSU, leaving sportsbooks across the country with lopsided activity on a national tournament game that’s setting up to be a huge choice for bookmakers.
Heading to the weekend, LSU is a consensus six-point favorite over Clemson at Monday’s College Football Playoff National Championship at New Orleans (8 pm ET on ESPN/ESPN App).
The line started as low as LSU preferred by 3, however, it’s been growing because, similar to the sportsbooks’ obligations.
“We’re going to need Clemson for a whole pile,” Jeff Davis, hazard director for Caesars Sportsbook, stated Thursday.
From that the East Coast into the Gulf Coast into Las Vegas, the betting public is over LSU, such as a few huge wagers. On Tuesday, Las Vegas sportsbook operator CG Technology reported carrying two bets at $200,000 on LSU. “The amount of money on Denver from the public was ludicrous,” Davis said. ” The sharp men could not get enough of Seattle. I really don’t wish to say that [game] has that sense, since there has not been substantially Clemson from a number of them [sharp] men”
The underdog Seahawks conquer the Broncos 43-8, and Nevada sportsbooks obtained a web $19.6 million, the most ever on a Super Bowl.
